Christian Science Society, Port Huron

“Lo, He sent His Word and healed them,

Still, that Word of God is here.

Still its tender healing message

Speaks to every listening ear.”

These lines above, from our Christian Science Hymnal, are an invitation to you to join us in active listening to God’s Word, to learn more of what our relationship is to Him, and to discover how healing prayer, as taught by Christ Jesus, is still applicable and vital now in facing the problems of individual daily life and human experience.

In 1879 Mary Baker Eddy founded Christian Science and worked “to organize a church designed to commemorate the words and works of our master, which would reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing.” It is that healing purpose and desire for spiritual growth in following Jesus’ example, that members here in Port Huron, and adherents all over the world are committed to.

Worship with Us

3514 Gratiot Ave., Port Huron

Sunday Service: We warmly welcome you to attend our Sunday Service which includes a weekly themed Bible Lesson comprised of scriptural passages and citations from our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Included also are congregational singing and an inspirational solo.

Wed. Evening Meeting: Another “tender healing message” is provided in seasonal, May through October, Wednesday evening meetings which include exchanges of testimonies of healings through Christian Science, and remarks shared spontaneously by those attending.

Sunday School: Contact us about spiritual education for your family.  Our Sunday School, which meets at the same time as the church service, is for young people up to the age of 20.  Here students meet in small discussion groups, reasoning together about God and learning to apply healing prayer in their lives. Child Care is always available for those too young for the service or Sunday School.

Because of our modest numbers we are currently able to meet in our edifice for in-church services while maintaining appropriate social protocols, as required.
